Shortboards

Maverick (river surfboard)

“On big or small waves, the Maverick rides fast.  Ride it loose as a twin on small waves or tight as a quad on steep waves.  I rode it on two completely different waves last season and it performed better than any ocean board I have ever ridden.  The quad fin setup held onto Maverick's steep face really well, allowing you to get more aggressive with turns, laying into to them when on another board you would have washed out.  On waves that are flatter but still fast such as Pyramid, the Maverick's speed really shows and the rail to rail transitions are smooth and quick.  I did not realize it until I experienced the difference myself but most ocean boards don't give a good feeling off the bottom, but bottom turns with the Maverick were powerful and actually really fun.  I also rode it on a slow, mushy wave.  I was blown away at the difference between the Maverick and my ocean board.  With a fair amount of volume but incredibly lightweight, it floated and rode faster on the mush than my ocean board.  I never really thought that there would be much of a difference in performance between ocean boards and river boards - there is.  And when I rode Buseater on my ocean board after having ridden Mavericks on the Maverick, the difference was glaringly obvious: my ocean board was bouncy, less turnable and feeling like it was going to snap in half.”
David Crichton - Pro Surfer, Canada

Mini Gun

The Mini Gun has an interesting balance of speed and maneuverability. The board swims really well to catch the wave while giving an aggressive performance once on the wave. The board was perfect for me because I don't get to get into the surf that often, and I have a lot of fun with minimal difficulty. After using the board for several years now, I can say that the board is really strong, and also very light, and performing and was really a great choice. The board was an excellent choice for me, who only gets to surf a few times a year and want to have fun and enjoy the waves.

“It was first after riding the Mini Gun, that I realized what a true surfboard should feel like.”

Pocket Rocket

"I tried the latest Pocket Rocket this fall, 2008, when I met Corran in the lineup one morning, and it was quite a surprise. I have a FW Alternator 6'0 and only this board could match the fun I had with the Rocket Pocket. Only 3" longer than my Alternator, the Pocket Rocket floats so well that swimming was effortless. It is such a fast board that I had trouble controlling it the first time I caught the wave. Never the less this didn't compromise the turn-ability. This board goes fast and is able to turn so swiftly and buttery that it would blow my mind leaving me wanting for more and more. I asked Corran if he has ever popped airs on it and he said all the time. The top of the board was immaculate. No pressure dings at all. As he explained, this is due to their new materials that have memory so they would come back to the initial shape for a long time.  Lightweight and stylish, I can firmly say that Imagine Rocket Pocket is a high-end quality board without any further argument."
                                                                                        Andrei Fasola - Surfer, Canada

“I've been involved in water sports for 30 years.  I've been riding Imagine boards for about 2 years.  I found that the Pocket Rocket Flux Core is not just a pretty face; the board dug in on bottom turns without any slide out. When driving the line it's fast and is responsive enough to bash the lip or bust an air, it's up to you - it all depends what your looking for.  If your looking for a board that goes fast, this is it. It’s extremely durable all the while being environmentally friendly, built with the latest technology, backed up with strong customer service, priced within reasonable means, these boards don't even take on water when they're dinged. I’ve found the right boards and the right company. The wave of the future in surfboards here.. Eco friendly, extremely strong, fast boards, constructed with the latest technology.”

Un-Retro Fish

"As a keen follower of board technology and sustainable performance designs, I was super stoked to get my hands on Imagine's new eco Intec Fish. Its parking lot presence creates lots of interest from friends and fellow surfers. Its whiter than white, the gloss finish is flawless, the fin system rocks and the shape begs to be ridden. Did I mention its environmentally sustainable! The board felt great in the 'under the arm' test whilst walking down the beach path. It paddled easy and fast onto anything. My wave count was up and so was my stoke. Imagine's fish was fast, could hold a good line and was loose enough to throw buckets and clock some fins free hacks. The quad set up provides great drive and responsiveness, and the ability to adjust the fins to tighten or loosen the board offers great versatility. In short, a great responsive board that looks and feels right, and is great for the conscience as it is truly the only eco green board on the market.”

Funboards

Funboard

I originally bought an eco 6’8” funboard to teach my friends how to river surf.  But after my first test ride I could not stop smiling; this board is fun!  My friends though so too, as they easily caught the wave and stood up on their first session.  But it’s not just for beginners.  I use the funboard to practice cross stepping and riding switch in the river.  This board also proved to be a trip saver in the ocean.  The board’s wide nose and generous volume allows me to catch anything in the ocean, and do it all day long without getting tired.  While the extra nose rocker allows me to take off as late as I want.  Whether you’re a beginner, or think you’re an expert (like me), and from 2 feet to double overhead, you can’t go wrong with the funboard.

Seventies

“When I first rode an Imagine surfboard I was a beginner. I started on a 6'11” Seventies shaped by Corran. That board made learning easy and interesting because despite it's length I could learn to carve and have fun. After that I bought a 6’0” Travel Board. I quickly started to get better. I could do nice carves (for a beginner) on this. I loaned my board to this guy Carlos (Costa Rican surf champ) and the 1st time he used it he knew how to ride it! It was so nice to see him ride this board. He really was dominating. Now I can consider myself an intermediate surfer and my next board will be a 6'2 or 6'3 Pocket Rocket eco board. I remember a quote from Dave Rastovich (pro soul surfer); "all boards are different and can't get compared to each other. Boards are like music instruments- you cant compare a guitar to a violin." When you think of this you know there are boards you do or do not like, but if you're a surfer there’s a big chance you care about the environment and buying an Imagine board is buying an environmentally friendly board. Try one out!”
                                                                                Jonathan Karkar - Surfer, Canada

Longboards

“I currently surf a 9'6 flux core longboard. I'm a big guy (6'2 x 215lbs), and this board is perfect for me. It paddles very well, turns from the tail like a shorter board thanks to the light weight from vacuum bagging, and still gives up nice noserides. It's a solid performing board, but the kicker is the technology and looks. The wood gets attention, and the recycled foam core, bamboo cloth provide superior strength and ding resistance while being eco-friendly. I don't even think about buying or riding standard construction boards that still use1960's technology.”
                                                                                Kevin Whilden - Surfer, California

Stand Up Paddleboards

Cutback

“My board Specs:  7'6"x29"x4.5in My Specs:  165 lbs, 5'10" SUP paddling 3 yrs, and I came off of a 8'11"x28x4.25 La Pistola

First off this board is for experienced paddlers with great SUP Balance and want something to smack the lip and take a vertical approach to SUPing a wave.  Although the 2 pc system is a prototype and the first of its kind in a SUP board I was very impressed with the strength and durability of the system. I did notice a little movement in the middle along the seam but once it was surfing it couldn’t feel it at all-maybe because I was having so much fun.  I know small improvements have been made to take care of this. On the water it was superb while riding the wave, turning faster than any other board I have ever ridden.   The width made it easy to paddle for its length and I had no problems getting into head high No Shore surf with it.  Many of the surfers were commenting on how fast it looked down the line and I felt some serious G's on a few bottom turns.  The rail held the high line excellent and the 4WFS system rode great in both the quad and thruster set-up, but I eventually settled on the thruster setup because of my riding style. The pulled nose made busting through the whitewater much easier as the board would lift over the top and resurface straight up and predictably if it went under. I never saw the nose pearl on a drop in, and was amazed at how late i could kick out of the wave.  This board is a serious carving machine and can be enjoyed by experienced well conditioned paddlers in any type of surf.  It actually tracked well for being so short and I could take about 5-7 strokes per side before having to switch sides.

After my session I dropped the board off of my head straight onto some nasty North Shore rocks after slipping on a boulder and to my amazement it simply looked like a minor contusion below the surface of the laminate but no crack.  WOW any other board and I would of had to get it repaired.

Overall impression:  I have never been so stoked about a SUP board before.
I got the beefy construction which is nice for those of us who are hard on boards
The 2-pc system works and I never felt it on the wave. The most Organic ride I have ever felt and I am excited about it.”
