Flux Fish
The Flux Fish is what we consider a “go-to” board. When you’re sitting on the beach, looking at the waves and you can’t decide if you need a performance shortboard, or something like the Un-retro Fish. The waves look good, but just not all the power you need to really drive hard. And the surfers out there seem to be missing a lot of waves they’re going for!
This is when you turn and grab “old faithfull”. The board that you just know is going to give you what you need. The Flux Fish.
Unlike many modern Fish boards that can feel sluggish compared to a performance shortboard, the Flux Fish is closer to a skateboard than anything else. Very responsive once on the wave, it has that :”get-up-and-go feel that pushes you into each section, while at the same time coming around so fast when you want it to, that it leave you wondering how if could be so good at catching waves.
With a light since concave area between your feet, and the deck volume along the stringer carried far out towards the rails, this board really floats well. But the slight “S” rail brings this volume down to a high performance rail that you can really drive and hold.
And to cap it off... a choice of running the board as a quad or thruster just gives you that much more reason to always have this baby in the car... just in case you need your baby!
